furnace is lined with refractory and water cooled to protect it from the high
combustion temperatures.

gas scrubber is usually incorporated into the unit as shown.

fuel pumps, or adequate spares, must be available.
The
air supply fan is capable of supplying the required pressure – no further
blowers are required.
The
unit would be fitted after the blowers, before the regulating valves shown in
the main system.
