Mariner’s Welfare Organisation of India is a voluntary organisation committed to the welfare of the seafarer. This Society is started with the noble cause of strengthening the bond between the seafarer. Organisation will also provide a platform for seafarers to discuss issues pertaining to problems faced by the seafarers while they are sailing ashore. It will give a sense of security to them and their family members. The society will adhere to its mission of promoting unity, progress, friendship and cooperation and to maintain relationship between the seafarers. The society strives to fulfil the dreams. The society provides mariners with strong infrastructural facilities i.e. School, college, housing apartments and hospitals with all ultra modern amenities with perfect ambience at affordable prices.   The Mariner‘s Welfare Organisation is registered under Societies Registration Act XXI, 1860.   Our Motto is TEAM Stand for Together Everyone Achieves More. . We believe in united we stand, every member is supporting other member.

With a mature society governance structure and a strong and efficient management team, we will fulfil our social mission and rise to all the challenges. In the coming years, we will continue to explore new opportunities and move forward with all seafarer community so that we can better serve our shipping community. The Organisation has been run by Members coming from Shipping Community with the mission to serve the needs of Seafaring community .Our role has evolved to become much more complex, engaging in multiple initiatives and projects.

To cope with the changing environment and to fulfil its evolving role, we have adopted a governance structure with the creation of a Governing Body and a smaller Executive Committee.

BENEFITS OF BEING A MEMBER   » Members are entitled to get residential and commercial units at subsidized rates in associated projects.   » Subsided rate of interest and concession on processing fees from a housing finance bank.   » Daily news for registered members on a subscription basis while onboard vessel.   » Right to have admission in schools, vocational and non vocational maritime institutes at subsided fees.   » Right to have Medical treatment at clinics and hospitals at subsided fees.   » Your next door neighbour is seafarer.   » Platform to work for shipping community.   » Trust & complete reliability.   » Practical benefits in legal framework on account of complete know how.       ELIGIBILITY   All Member's of “MARINER’S WELFARE ORGANISATION” shall comply with following requirements.   i) Mariner’s and Personal involved in Allied Shipping Activities i.e. Educational Institutes, Shipping Professional, Manning, insurance Chartering and Off Shore vessel, are eligible for membership.   ii) Sponsored and Guaranteed Personal by Para (i) are eligible for membership.   iii) Spouse and kid’s of personnel of para (i), are eligible for membership.   iv) Any government servant (retired also) i.e. state, central and auto nous body of government are also eligible for membership, e.g. MMD surveyor, D.G. shipping official and M.O.T. official's.
